One of the best things I have ever read. The s/m, the corruption, Josuke denouncing his God. Fuuuuckkk this was good, man. I am not very familiar with Christianity, being born and brought up into another religion. But Christian concepts of sin and faith make for really good fictional works, I have found; erotica or otherwise.
The ending implies that Jotaro is more than a run-of-the-mill demon, and something almost eldritch in existence. Such a tantalising concept. I am glad that Josuke wasn't abandoned after his corruption. That would have been too sad. And there is something very sexy about the utter possessiveness Jotaro shows here.
Also sexy humililation Josuke was subjected to.... o(*////▽////*)q

But when he’s shot down over the Alps and finds himself beaten to hell and back with a guarded (and frankly grumpy) Italian pilot who claims to be just as stranded, he’s forced to work with the very enemy he’s been fighting for the past 12 months. Can they put aside their differences to survive the dead of winter and get back home?

Read up till the end of chapter 17.
The internalised homophobia is present, and it affects their relationship, and it is not overdone. The religious guilt is very much present, and is tough to overcome, but they make progress. They are both very lonely men who are experiencing open companionship and love for the first time in their lives, with an enemy. It is almost unspeakably lovely.
Joseph feels very ADHD-coded to me, here. I like his depiction. Caeser's fear as a homosexual man living in a conservative society is something I can empathise with, as I too live in a similar situation. All in all, Cesare's experience resonates immensely with me. And Joseph's loneliness, his feelings of isolation and his anger and sadness at his isolation. It all resonates.
I love how they communicate. Not perfectly. But they try. And that is what matters. I enjoy reading about their arguments. It does not feel forced. And reading them make up and comfort each other is lovely.
I loved it when they first kissed. And the ensuing breakdown + discussion was good. Going back to what I said about the internalised homophobia; I was afraid that their discussion would magically cure the repression and self-hatred of several years. This might read odd but I am glad it didn't. It was, however, a start. Progress began to be made with that discussion, with the naked support Joseph showed that Cesare was courageous and open enough to listen to.
I was very touched by the scene where, after their argument about leaving and Caeser stomping out, Joseph comes looking for him, terrified that something would happen to his beloved. That scene, of them making up and of Cesare comforting Joseph was very touching.
I enjoy reading the more erotic moments between the two. Joseph being eager to please his partner and Caeser being taken by how adorable he is is wonderful!
Their meeting scene was very funny to read as well.
I look forward to how the author will proceed with the story. -
