Niki looked at the house, apparently finding it to her liking, and turned to him and said, “Techno, sweetheart, I really need you to try at this house. I know it started out as an emergency placement, but I think it could be something more. You know their history. Just give them a chance, okay?” Techno didn’t want to try, but what other choice did he have when the woman was giving him a look so full of care, so much comfort and warmth in her words? He gave a single grunt, and she seemed happy with it, so she moved over and got out of the car. He traced a finger along the handle, and got out along with her.
Where Techno tries, and hopes that maybe this family will try with him.
