Summary
There was a project formed in the very beginning of the avatar program, the foundation for genetic manipulation and engineering of the avatar bodies. Most thought it was abandoned once the process was perfected but scientific curiosity never truly dies and cruelty can be overlooked in favor of progress and information. Grace Augustine was never one to turn away from a new subject of study but had she known what she was agreeing to then she would never have accepted the job. A child grown in a lab and treated as a lab rat was not something Grace had been equipped to handle. Heart filling with guilt, she thought long and hard on how to free this child from the RDA's grasp but her plans never worked out. Not until the very last second.

Summary
Marie Augustine somehow survived the bombing that happened to her in 2145. She manages to convince the RDA that she has medical training and pushes herself onto the next ship bound for Pandora, all in the hopes of reuniting with her mother, Grace.
Coincidentally for her, the day of her arrival is the day that Trudy and Max break Grace, Jake and Norm out of their prison cell and defect from the RDA.
Thankfully for Grace, Marie has medical training and can do minor surgeries, and saves her mother from the bullet lodged in her abdomen.Trudy/Grace relationship, Jake/Neytiri relationship.
All canon events, excluding Grace, Trudy and Tsu'tey dying, will still happen as they did in the movies.

An AU focusing on a relationship between Neytiri, Tsu'tey and Jake as they each heal from grief and learn to accept themselves in order to save their people. Tsu'tey lives AU, poly relationship and lots of found family elements. Chapters 1-24 cover the events of the first movie. The Sky People return in Ch. 50, beginning the Way of Water arc.
