Summary
"I mean it, Tristan." His hand moves across the table, fingers stopping just short of mine. "Promise me you won't go doing anything heroic and stupid."
The desperate edge in his voice makes my chest tight. "You're one to talk about heroic and stupid."
"That's different."
"How is that different?"
"Because it's my job—" He cuts himself off, running a hand through his hair roughly. "Just. Promise me."
I want to say no, actually, tell me how it's different. Tell me why you get to throw yourself on every grenade and I'm supposed to stand there and watch and be grateful that you think so little of yourself. I don't. I let my fingers brush his knuckles instead and feel him go very still under the touch.--
Tristan and Dean getting together was somehow the least memorable thing to happen this week.Series

Summary
“I begged him to burn you, Dean!” My voice cracks on his name. “I knew that’s what you wanted, what all hunters should do. He said no, that he was going to find a way to bring you back, and you’d need your body. And I told him, ‘Dean would never forgive us, forgive you if you brought him back.’ You know what he told me? He said—” The anger at the conversation with Sam surges back up in me, but the last of the words die in my throat.
“He said what? What, Tristan?” Dean’s voice is low and dangerous, and it’s all I need to push through.
“He told me that I was an idiot for thinking I knew the first thing about you.”
The silence is loud in the car. Bobby shakes his head, mutters something that I don’t bother trying to hear. Dean doesn’t move, just continues to stare out the window at the passing fields. It's another minute before I speak again.
“I was ready to mourn you, Dean. I moved on. As much as anyone can in four months. There hasn’t been a day that hasn’t hurt, but don’t think I never smiled.”
-
Tristan has moved on, just as he promised. He's a hunter now, running jobs with Bobby, with Jo and Ellen. Dean's return really screws that all up, including Tristan's promise.Series

Summary
The mark had been there for nearly seven months, and every time John looked at it, he became more frustrated. It was one of the elaborate ones, a gigantic set of wings that curled around his forearm, and he knew once it was colored it was going to look amazing, regardless of what the color turned out to be. But his frustration came from the fact that it wasn't yet the red of eternal love or the blue of eternal friendship. It was still just a pale pink etching, meaning that his soulmate had yet to reach their twenty-third birthday.
Or that they were already dead, but John was choosing not to think about that possibility. He really needed more positivity in his life, not more negativity.
or: John and Bobby had a past relationship that John tries to forget. But Bobby hasn't forgotten it at all, and a chance meeting at the coffee shop where John works forces John to remember. John is still counting on his soulmark turning red and being able to leave Bobby behind once and for all, but there might be other plans at work from fate, destiny, and all that bullshit.

“It’s 2016,” said Mulder. “Welcome to the future, Krycek. America has a black president, gay people can officially get married, and the Apocalypse is upon us.” He paused. “No connection, though, whatever some people might say.”
Following the events in Season 10, Mulder is sick and Scully wants to find William to save him. But when a bewildered Alex Krycek, apparently resurrected nearly fifteen years after his death, seeks them out and claims to have knowledge of their son's whereabouts, they have to decide whether to trust him, while dealing with his murderous past and his complex relationship with Mulder.

Summary
Timothy Drake defines his life by three distinctions:
1. He and the Bats are brothers-in-arms, not of blood or name.
2. The once-bright manifestation of his soul is now scarred and colorless.
3. He found the body, not Red Robin. And though it’s not a distinction, he feels it’s worth mentioning that this case is his.
No matter what Dick says.
-
When a serial killer is hunting rejected soulmates, Tim and Dick are forced to work together to solve the case. Easier said than done when ‘work together’ means going undercover at a couples’ resort, and Dick doesn’t know he rejected Tim in the first place… whoops.
