Summary
When Kevin Price attended his best friends' wedding, he didn't think he'd end up meeting someone for himself. But then a handsome stranger in a flower crown enters the scene, one of the newlyweds plays matchmaker, and Kevin has to overthink his definition of a first date.
And that's not even addressing the one thing which ruined a lot of his dates in the past years.
‘Let’s do one last one for now,’ Kevin replies, pulling Connor close. Really close.
They’re nearly the same height, which means he can smell Connor’s aftershave or perfume, or whatever it is that makes him smell this nice.
The pang of warmth and want curling in Kevin’s stomach comes as a surprise. It doesn’t let up when the song finishes, either.
‘Wanna grab a drink and head somewhere quiet?’

Summary
It’s Arnold who suggested it, of course.
You see, after… that which shall not be named, they technically don’t have to follow the rules anymore. Being semi-excommunicated, it isn’t really clear if they still get to call themselves Mormon once they go back home okaaaay time to stop thinking about that; the point remains: they’re free to make up a new way of living. But after nineteen years of having those rules hardwired into your skull, it’s not easy to break with habit.
There’s a list in Arnold’s near-illegible chicken scratch. Connor can barely make out what it says at the very top: Companion swapsies, with a little star drawn next to it.
They’re basically going to try and break as many rules as possible in the upcoming week.

Kevin can be a self-centered asshole, Arnold knows, but he's rarely an other-person-centered one. But that doesn't keep him from falling apart after a moment with the waiter, apparently.

Summary
"Welcome to FunZone Arcade and Laser Tag, except the laser tag arena is still closed due to health and safety violations, half the machines are malfunctioning, and it's not very fun. So actually, welcome to Zone."
In suburban Florida, there's an arcade. In said arcade, there's a guy named Kevin Price. He works minimum wage, has an exhausting rivalry with his co-worker, and owns almost no furniture in his depressing flat for one. And when you've hit rock bottom, like Kevin well and truly has, there's no other way to go but up.
There's just some developing friendships, feelings, laser tag (or lack thereof), pyromania, and gnomes along the way.

Summary
Kevin struggles to find his place amongst the Elders of the Ugandan mission. Elder Mckinley tries to help him.
“Are you sure you want to be my friend?” Kevin asked doubtfully.
“Well,” Elder Mckinley said. “You have an attitude problem. You don’t like talking to other people or being part of a team, and you seem to have made it your new mission to break every rule the church has given us, which I can’t officially support.”
“Thanks.”Bookmarked by Splish_Sploosh

Connor doesn’t mention the note, so Kevin doesn’t either. Connor is always telling Kevin to stop making everything weird. The thing is, Kevin is great at making things weird. And he really likes being good at things.
So Kevin writes another one.
This one says sorry about the weird note.
The second one says, I changed my mind, I’m not really very sorry at all.
And it’s downhill from there.

Summary
If Kevin Price has a crush on Connor, that’s definitely something worth pursuing. Connor is whole-heartedly behind the idea. He hasn’t been as excited about anything since he realised he didn’t actually have to be a Mormon if he didn’t want to be. But he keeps a straight - for lack of a better word - face, and only steals glimpses back. They lock eyes over the dinner table and Connor can’t help the smirk that curls his lips, and doesn’t miss the way Kevin’s face mirrors his.
Well. Two can play at that game, Elder Price.

Summary
“Get lost,” says Connor, smiling. “We are nineteen years old, we have our whole lives ahead of us. Screw secure futures. It’s about here and now, right?”
Kevin nods. “Latter Day doesn’t mean afterlife, it means tomorrow.”“Right,” Connor says. He hums to himself, a tune that Kevin doesn’t recognise. “Screw the past, too.”
“Aye aye, Captain,” says Kevin. “Screw the past.”
Or; Arnold is the greatest best friend in the world, Connor is a jerk, and Kevin Price is hot and bothered.Series

Summary
And part of that is in the unmaking of him, in tearing down all that he was, in deconstructing the cleanliness, the precision, the picture-perfect posterboy member of the Church who thought he could come out here and change the world. Part of that is because he’s already dirty anyway. Already unclean. Shouldn’t the outside reflect the inside?
Kevin is perfectly content to continue with his plan, to drift and drift and drift until the other Elders stopped asking how he was doing and Arnold stopped sad-puppy frowning at him and Connor stopped pestering him. He’s perfectly content, until he isn’t.
His shirt smells like lavender and watermint, a faint drifting scent that makes Kevin’s chest ache. He holds the fresh-washed shirt up to his nose and inhales in and out and his chest outright hurts, a painful gut-wrenching stabbing feeling.
He’d said 'thanks' to Connor but that hadn’t been what he’d wanted to say, he’d wanted to say 'how dare you' but also 'now I smell like you and I don’t know what to do with that.'
***********************
Kevin is Not Doing Good. Arnold is a great best friend, and Connor is a good district leader. Connor washes Kevin's shirts, and things unravel from there.

In the bustling concrete jungle that is New York City, there are opportunities around every corner. Dreams and wishes come true for some and crash and burn for others, and it is fair in the way life always is - completely coincidental and heavily privileged - as is the case for two young pioneers, who suddenly find their plots intertwining more and more as life passes them by.
