Summary
“I used to be engaged,” Amanda starts.
“Huh.” Angela isn't all that eloquent, but she looks up at Amanda, letting her know she's listening.
“It's going to be two years since I called it off in a week.” Amanda finishes her wine, too, setting both their glasses down before she continues, “He was… honestly, he was perfect at first. I kept thinking I didn't deserve him. So loving, he worshiped the ground I walked on.”
“At first,” Angela repeats, her hand soothing where it's been resting over Amanda's back.
“They’re always charming at first.” Amanda nods, agreeing.
Or,
Amanda works through her past, Angela works through her present. It would just be a lot easier if Angela let them work together.

Summary
The fluorescent lights of the Smosh office usually hummed with a predictable, caffeinated energy. For Amanda Lehan-Canto, that hum was the soundtrack of her life. She’d been married to Angela Giarratana for three years—three years of chaotic energy, musical theater outbursts in the kitchen, wine nights with crime documentaries every Thursday, and a love that felt as sturdy as an old oak tree.
Amanda took pride in knowing Angela. She knew the exact pitch Angela reached when she was genuinely annoyed versus “bit-annoyed”. She knew that Angela would always choose the most chaotic option in a board game. She knew that, despite the whirlwind persona, Angela was the most grounded part of her world. Amanda lived by the philosophy that she had the “Angela Giarrantana Encyclopedia” memorized cover to cover. There were no more spoilers left in the book.
Or so she thought.

Emily Charlton survived.
The problem is that now she has to learn to live afterward.
And Andrea Sachs, who should have left everything behind a long time ago, decides to stay instead.[English isn't my native language.

Summary
It is March 1986, eight months since Starcourt. Nancy has buried herself in her work to avoid acknowledging her fading friendship with Jonathan and Robin is hopelessly in love with a girl from band who she can barely build up the courage to talk to. One cannot let go of the past and the other fears an uncertain future.
When students (literally) start dropping dead, they find themselves brought together, still practically strangers. Their personalities clash, Nancy being so serious and Robin being so... Robin, irritation and confusion defining their first moments, but from that tension a spark is born. As the days drag on and they bounce around from Hawkins to Pennhurst to the Upside-Down, they come to find that they relieve the weight of each other's burdens, or maybe they make them heavier; in times like these, another person loved can just as easily be another person lost. Maybe it's best that they keep it all in, for each other's sake and their own.
But the Upside-Down does not wait for teen romance to sort itself out. There is still a killer to catch, a killer who can reach across the dimensional veil and slaughter troubled youths with his mind, and the kids in Hawkins are all on their own this time.
