Summary
Following the events of Earthbound, the Pigmasks open a portal to Dalaam from the future, and the major powers of the world quickly ally with them for their technology. Prince Poo attacks the Pigmasks and vanishes, starting a war between Dalaam and the Pigmasks. This leaves Jeff, Paula, and Ness to navigate through the college as their university and country back up Pigmask military expansion into Dalaam. And soon, they get hints that the Pigmasks have something even more sinister planned.

King is forced to turn to Amity, who will do anything to protect Luz, but she becomes caught between heart and duty when her teacher Lilith resolves to bring Eda to the emperor at all costs. And as King and Tibbles do battle in the shadows to determine the fate of Luz and Eda, their shared hatred and malice becomes mutual respect for each other... and start to blossom into something more.
