Tony Stark wasn’t a man who liked being told what he couldn’t do.
That being said, there were some things he preferred to do for people, even if they didn’t ask him to. In his mind, it was one of the perks of having the means to solve problems without hesitation. It wasn’t that he thought he was better than everyone else—it was just that when he saw an issue, he wanted to fix it, no matter how small or large.
Which is exactly why, when Tony remembered an offhand comment from May Parker saying she was behind on rent again, he didn’t waste any time
