“This wannabe world champion is forty nine points ahead of you” Oscar whispered to Max's ear, voice soft but carrying an underlying warning tone, “and it will be more if you continue to act like today every time you don't get what you want”.
Max's face exploded with pink, growling and trying to escape from the Australian hold. Charles watched the scene unperturbed, finally walking to the pair and taking Max's jaw into his hand, brushing it tenderly but hard enough so the blond couldn't escape his hold.
“You know Max” he started, “Oscar has been quite curious about something on the way here”, his hand moved to Max's neck, tightening it lightly to feel the blond's pulse quicken under his palm.
“About what?” The Dutchman dared to ask, eyes blown wide as if he already knew what the Monegasque was going to say.
Charles' mouth twitched “about how good you would look on your knees"

They were playing a game of cat and mouse, and Max, despite being an Alpha, had never felt more like the prey before pinned under Charles’s gaze, all his instincts screaming for him to run, flee the scene and hide until the danger passed.
“Charles!”, Max yelped when Charles almost grabbed the hem of his shirt, “Charles if you continue with this I cannot quarantine that you will come unscathed”, he should have felt offended when Charles just smiled predatory.
“You're the one who won't come unscathed Maxie”, the brunette said before pouncing over the blond.

"Can you get off me? I cannot hold a conversation while looking at the floor", said Max exasperatingly, not answering to the question, his hips trying to wiggle free from the hold.
The person over him just hummed uncommittally, their grip strengthening around his wrists, the cold floor of the hotel's room digging into the tender flesh of his wrists, "nah I don't think so", the lack of interest on the man's voice made the blond's nerves itch, "why don't you now explain us what were you doing here Verstappen? I can call security. A RedBull driver in a Ferrari's room, it would make some good headlines", Max was tempted to smash his head against the hard woodfloor and get a concussion, because of fucking course Carlos and Charles had to enter the room just in time for his escape.
