Summary
Eliot’s pain was a hollow thing. For weeks during his recovery he’d been too numb to feel it, the emptiness growing inside, but once he finally could he’d spent a not insignificant amount of time wondering if the Monster had taken his shade. It made sense, sort of, aside from all those times that he couldn’t stop crying. It was like someone had come along and scraped out all the goodness he’d had left. There was nothing now. Just a deep, pulsing blackness where once there had been so much light.
aka the one where Eliot is so desperate to bring Quentin back he's willing to do almost anything, even if that means losing himself in the process. Canon divergent after 4x13.

Summary
It happened. That they'd asked themselves how, when it's literally the least important part of this, he can chalk up to shock or shortsightedness or his own sheer stupidity. It's the why that actually matters, and he thinks he knows the answer to that. So the real question… is how to make it happen again.

Summary
Alice leaned back into the chair, arms crossed, expression mulishly guilty.
Now this felt familiar, too -- how many times had someone come to him, needing help to fix the world? Penny tried not to laugh, managed to keep it down to a vaguely mocking smile. But inside he felt like Alice’s voice: rough, jagged, a scream building momentum, eager to slip free. “And you need my help to handle it?” he asked. “Let me guess -- Coldwater’s at the heart of it somehow.”
Alice’s eyes gleamed behind her glasses. “He will be, so long as we don’t fuck everything up along the way.”
Screw being dead, that's so last season.

Summary
He’s able to sit up for the first time on a Thursday. Has been weaving in and out of consciousness for the better half of a week. Flanked by Margo on his left, Quentin on his right, and a revolving door of characters at his feet. Visitors who come and go and sometimes come back. Like Penny and Alice and Julia. Or who come once, stay for a few minutes, and then disappear to never return. Like Dean Fogg and Kady. Nothing more than courtesy drop by.
He doesn’t mind. Quentin squeezes his hand tight like he thinks he might, though, so he just nuzzles his cheek into Quentin’s shoulder and opts not to mention that he has all he needs right here. Pretends not to hear Margo’s judgement when she huffs out an amused breath. Squeezes her hand as if to say not now, Bambi.
They’re alive. They have time. Right now he just wants to stay like this.
--Or, the season 4 finale never happened, but Quentin and Eliot still manage to be disasters. Mostly Eliot.

Summary
“Well,” Alice clears her throat. “Um, if Q didn’t...actively wish for a baby, and it was more of an unconsciously manifested...desire, then I guess he wouldn’t have been too specific about it, and...he winds up with sort of the prototypical perfect baby.”
Margo looks suspiciously at the baby and then at Quentin, eyes narrow. “So you’re saying this sap not only dreamed up Eliot’s magically spawned child, but he also specifically wanted, again, Eliot’s baby at peak cuteness?”
Alice raises her shoulders once and quirks her lips as though saying, yeah, that’s basically it.

Summary
post 4x13 canon divergent (literally throw the whole fifth season in the trash)
would you trust in a light that you cannot see?
It is said, when you move on, that you go to where you are needed most but sometimes where you are needed most is exactly where you left in the first place.
While the Dark King has reduced the kingdom of Fillory to ashes, Eliot recovers from his wounds at the Mosaic Cottage, Margo is on the war path for her throne, Julia searches for her true purpose, Alice tries to fix everything she broke with a little help, Kady stands on the frontlines, and Quentin tries his very best to make it back home, but it proves to be more challenging than any warning could've predicted. Magic is unpredictable, causing disruptions and devastations across the universe and there is only one person who may be able to make it right.
Spoiler: this story will have a happy ending.

Summary
Margo winced. “We’re all out of rooms.”
“I thought you had extra space here.”
“Space, yes, rooms, no.” Margo seemed to sense his mounting panic and put a reassuring hand against his cheek. “Don’t worry, Q, we’re not going to throw you out. Eliot has the biggest room in the house-” Of fucking course he does. “-so you’re just going to room with him for a while.”
__ __
Quentin is forced to share a room with Eliot, which would be fine if it wasn't for his giant crush.

Summary
Quentin feels like he’s in mourning, in his own widower’s blacks somewhere deep underground. It hurts with every fibre in his being, but he musters up whatever inadequate bravery he still has inside him that didn't get left with the people he loves, and looks up at the screen.
And then Eliot adjusts his grip on the peach, staring into the fire with an identical flame in his eyes. “No,” he says instead, “fuck this.”
Quentin drops the mug, Eliot takes a bite of the peach, and the earth shakes beneath their feet.
or, Julia and Eliot refuse to let this be the end.

Summary
Part two of an ongoing series that splits off from canon at the end of S3. Alice blocked the magic siphon at the very last moment, setting in motion a chain of other changed decisions. Much of the outcome diverges from what follows in canon. Some things do not.
Picks up immediately after the end of part one, “Defying Gravity.” Eliot and Quentin, having decided to explore a real relationship, go back to Earth. As it turns out, the return of magic has at least one sadly predicted result.
