Summary
A few days after Jun Wu's fall, the Heavenly Court decided to celebrate. They have a lot of things to work through in the future, so a night to simply relax and enjoy the beginning of a new dinasty was overall a good idea.
With Xie Lian and Feng Xin absent from the celebration due their own priorities, Mu Qing drinks alone on a recluse spot. He himself had too much on his mind and heart, but staying alone wouldn't do him any good. And that's why he let's Pei Ming seat at his side and talk about frivolous things, distracting him from his own problems.
It's not a surprise for the Northern Martial God to flirt with him, making an indecent invitation. What is truly surprising is how easily Mu Qing accepts the alpha's advances.

Kojiro frowns. “Was it really that long? It felt so much shorter…” He trails off at Kaoru’s scowl. He coughs. “Anyway, I didn’t want to hide it this time. It was a pain to try and not cough in front of Kaoru for so long last time.”
“You lasted two weeks before I found out,” Kaoru mutters.
