Summary
Marie has dreamed of being in The Seven since the tragic loss of her family. Through her rocky tenure on the team, she learns a terrible secret from a blacklisted ex-hero turned into a gym-owning hardass. Things should be straightforward from there, except the ex-hero happens to be the very idol who helped her discover truths about herself she never would've imagined.

She watched Jordan for a moment longer, her eyes shifting between their bodies and the tension in the unspoken language. A lot can be said without it leaving their mouths at all; that's what she liked about heartbeats. Of all the things she could choose to focus on regarding the circulatory system, the heart was her favorite.
Spending so much time with Jordan, spending so much time tuned in to the sound of their voice, to the steady thrum and thud of their heart – meant she knew the sound of them surprised the same way she knew what the front of her palm looked like.
A gentle flash of those pearly white teeth and the fucking dimples, she could recall so many moments off the top of her head where she was the sole cause of that smile in private. And now they were flirting across the ballroom, talk about whiplash.

It all happens at once; the vigilante drops down in front of her, Caitlyn fires a shot, the vigilante wraps her hand around the mouth of the gun – pushing it up firmly up away from her head and yanking it out of her grip all in the same breath.
Caitlyn was right, if it came to hand and hand she'd be done in seconds. Disarmed, she took a step backwards, looking toward the figure who was now holding her rifle with her breath heaving in her spandex wrapped flat chest.
“Shooting to kill, sheriff? That's a dangerous move, but then again…” eyes squinting as she stares down the barrel. Caitlyn's jaw sets firmly in her mouth, hands staying motionless at her sides.
The bright blue hue of the hextech center pulsed and sang to her, practically calling her name and writing her cemetery placard.
She met the large white eyes of the mask in front of her. The head tilts to the side and the gun lowers slightly “takes one to know one…” with her bare hands, she breaks the weapon in half and drops it to the ground.

Summary
Vi is steadily swirling further and further into a downward spiral of her own self-disdain and depression, she reaches out for help (reluctantly)
OR
Vi scoffs, yanking her hand away from the grip and meeting her with a glare “Seriously? You think you're in any place to judge me right now?”
Caitlyn countered, “You really think you're in a place void of it?” She motions to her appearance, one of the sharp eyebrows ticking up on her forehead.
Where Vi’s worst crime was being dumb enough and weak enough to call her after the harm she's done not only to the city but to herself, Caitlyn's was this bullshit martial law.
Someone had to start it just as someone had to end it, and if it ended with daggers then when they bled out what would be left to fall back on when she was weak again?
Maybe that's why she hadn't called her all this time, she didn't want to say something she'd regret, or maybe she thought it was over.
Clearly, it wasn't over, Caitlyn picked up the phone and she was here helping her now. Maybe she wanted to fix this, or maybe she just wanted Vi back under her thumb.
