Summary
Everyone at the Armed Detective Agency knew about Atsushi’s crush on Dazai, including Dazai himself. Rather than make things easy by confessing, he instead decides to conduct an experiment to see how far he can tease Atsushi by being more affectionate. A few simple touches here and there, genuine compliments, a lingering hand on his shoulder, nothing too unusual.
It was all supposed to be in good fun. Dazai just wanted to see if he was capable of causing Atsushi to snap and to make a move himself. If not, then he would be the one to confess first. No harm done. At least, that was how it was supposed to go.
Dazai hadn’t ever considered that he might be the one thrown for a loop.
