He has to examine her arm. Right. Right. It’s toned and so pale that blue veins swirl so clearly under her skin. They’re confusing. They all seem perfect.
His finger traces over the path of a nice blue vein residing at the hollow of her elbow, avoiding contact.

Levi steadies himself and looks up at the titan that saved him. A wide lipless grin stretches from ear to ear, eyes glinting with focus—and there aren’t just two. It looks down at him with four eyes, the second pair planted just over the first. No haze clouds them, these ones look human through and through.
His heart thumps against his ribcage at the familiarity of the eyes; brown and bright and boring deep into his own.

A young man stands on stacked crates above the crowd huddling to listen. He moves like he’s lightning trapped in a human body, like he’s a bird about to take flight.
“Until when will we be slaves to people who think we’re rubbish? We’re people of Paradis, and yet it’s Marleyans who roam around our streets in their fancy carriages as if Stohess belongs to them! Carriages they bought with the blood and sweat of people like us!”
Angry green eyes scan the crowd, seemingly taking in every single person, committing them to memory. A shiver passes through her spine. Mikasa is on her tiptoes, eager to catch his eye again.

Summary
Set in 18th-century France, this story follows Mikasa and Eren, two children who had two very different upbringings. They meet at the age of eight and immediately become best friends. As they grow up together, their bond strengthens, maybe even becoming more than just friendship. But with the outbreak of the French Revolution, they are thrown into turmoil, painfully aware of the different worlds they belong to. But through it all, they remain by each other’s side, protecting and caring for one another.

As a last test, he touches the surface of the mirror. The Eren on the other side meets him halfway but suddenly he finds that something is very wrong. Instead of smooth glass, he feels skin. When he looks up Mirror-Eren is smirking.
Next thing he feels is a grasp, a tug and he’s roughly yanked into the glass.

Eren Yeager, a guy who's just minding his business travelling around, gets robbed and wounded by a bunch of bandits and ends up on the doorstep of an ominous castle.
Although saved from death on that night, he can't be sure just how long he'll live when the castle's only inhabitant - a mysterious woman named Mikasa - seems to have a fascination with the macabre.
