“Steve?” Nancy prompted.
“Hey, guys, maybe give him a second, alright?” Eddie said gently, his voice felt like a cool cloth on a feverish forehead, Steve could have easily sighed in relief and relaxed into it.
“A second?” Jonathan said, his voice louder and rougher than Eddie’s, Steve could imagine him gesturing wildly around them just from the way he was speaking. “I don't know if you noticed, Munson, but we’re currently embedded in some freaky flesh-wall-thing.”
“You’re totally right, Byers, I hadn’t noticed that,” Eddie said, slightly sharper but still quiet enough not to cause Steve any pain. “Guess I missed the entire crash, lucky me.”

Robin leaned closer, voice gentle. “All I’m saying is, it’s okay to like him. And it’s also extremely, painfully obvious.”
Will froze. “…to who?”
Robin’s grin stretched slow and wicked. “Only to me. Because I understand. He doesn’t know, don’t worry. Because that boy? Dense. Like, heroically dense. Historically dense. Scientists are going to study him.”
Will huffed, cheeks burning. Will’s eyes darted involuntarily to the centre of the room. Max and El were squished together on an armchair. Mike was sprawled on the carpet with Dustin and Lucas, waving his arms around dramatically as he argued about which Star Wars film was objectively the best. His hair was a mess. His cheeks were flushed. He was smiling.
And Will felt that stupid expanding warmth in his chest that he couldn’t get rid of no matter how hard he tried.

Post-Vecna, Will and Robin continue to bond. Robin knows Will likes Mike. Mike thinks Will likes Robin.
One jealousy spiral, several misunderstandings, and a lot of pining later… they finally kiss.

Maverick began tugging on his stupid cowboy boots, bent forward and balanced precariously on one unsteady foot.
“You ever seen Jaws, Maverick?” Ice watched a colourful shower of cocktail umbrellas fall out of Maverick’s pocket and onto the sand.
Maverick shot him a challenging side eye. “You ever just do shit for the fun of it, Iceman?”
They glared at each other long enough for Ice to feel like an idiot. He groaned, ignoring the triumphant flash of teeth aimed at him and started undoing his shirt aggressively.

Maverick and Iceman sort out their shit on a beach sometime after midnight (and don't get eaten by sharks).

“Which way,” Maverick demanded, arms crossed and trembling ever so slightly as his sweat cooled. He’d only just given up shouting Ice’s name angrily into the apathetic wilderness.
Slider held his tongue, squinting down at the tiny, weather-beaten map drilled onto an equally weather-beaten post. The squiggly track lines were so faded he was half convinced he was imagining them.
Maverick sighed pointedly. Slider blindly swung his fist into the space he was sure Maverick had been a second ago.
