Summary
The death of his grandfather hit Yuto harder than anything in his life so far. So when attending the reading of his grandfather's will and finding out his grandfather had left him the farm he had worked and treasured for years, and for Yuto held many good memories from that one summer. He immediately makes plans to move and strike out to make a new life for himself away from the city he grew up in.
Meanwhile, Gray struggles under the weight of his grandfather's expectations, questioning whether coming to Mineral Town to apprentice as a blacksmith was the right choice. He finds comfort in quiet moments at the library, and in the presence of Marie, the one person he feels understands him.
Neither Yuto nor Gray know what their futures hold when they first meet.
Author's Note: Yuto is one of two new playable characters in the Friends of Mineral Town remake and the default name for that character. The story follows the remake’s setting and character names, with some details from the original game. Other characters will be added to the tags as they appear as well as other tags related to the story as they come up.

Summary
Ever since Kurama realized he had feelings for Hiei, he had kept them close to his chest. In the past he would have jumped at the opportunity for physical pleasure. But his time living as a human had changed him. Made him reevaluate what he valued most, and he valued his friendship with his fellow Alpha more than risking it for a single night of pleasure. Two Alphas rarely got together after all, and when they did, they rarely stayed together.
But when demons start showing up at Yusuke's ramen stand asking for relationship advice and he turns to Kurama for advice, a discussion takes place that makes Kurama start to wonder if just maybe his feelings aren't one-sided.
That maybe, just maybe, he and Hiei could be that rare exception to the rule.

Summary
Kurama sat at the desk in his bedroom, a pamphlet of papers in front of him he had been attempting to fill out for work since he had woken up earlier. The sun shone through the windows outside. It was a beautiful day, one that would have him opening the windows to let the fresh air in if not for the high possibility of worsening his current state. The sweet scents of the plants in his room would be a comfort if he could smell at all right now.
Kurama would find it ironic if it weren’t so frustrating.

“What about you? You're not the slightest bit curious about how it would feel with that body?” Kurama walked over to the couch, reaching over the back to hug Hiei from behind and nuzzle his neck. “I'll make sure it's very enjoyable for you, as I always do.
Hiei felt a blush further, feeling it burn up to his ears. “Is there a reason you're so enthusiastic?”
“Hmm, well, this is a nice opportunity for you to experience something new. The first time I did it, it was a rather fun experience.”
“How…?”
“I’m a fox demon Hiei, when I was Youko, I could change my form into anything I wanted.”
Hiei flushed further, both at the idea and slightly flustered that he forgot such a detail. “You’re unbelievable.”
“Well? What do you say? We could do what we always do, though it might feel a little different with that body. Or we can just pass the time until you change back, whatever you like.”

Summary
All he wanted was for him and Hiei to spend time together like they used to. The moment they shared the day after the Makai tournament had concluded would repeat in his mind often when he was laying in bed at night. Wondering if this night would be when he heard his window open and the familiar sound of boots landing on his bedroom floor.
So of course, the next time he saw Hiei they were faced with a terrorist group holding the Reikai hostage, threatening to destroy Sarayashiki City and the Gate of Judgement.
Once Kurama was done helping his friends evacuate, he leaves the city with his family with Hiei in tow to safety. Once everyone's safety is confirmed when Hiei returns to his body is Kurama able to properly welcome his favorite fire demon back and the feeling is mutual.
