Summary
When Jane was invited to the compound, Darcy was not, but it didn't matter because Jane hadn't heard from her in more than a year.
Dealing with sudden poverty in Atlanta, Darcy doesn't have time to think of her fleeting brush with alphabet soup agencies. She is alone and she has to deal with that. Her solution is grimy, taxing, and manipulative but debt and addiction are worse than dark elves.
Darcy is a stringer. She lives in a hovel and sees things people shouldn't see. Darcy thinks this is it for her, until Jane finally remembers to pick up the phone. But you can never truly walk away from streets.
