Elphaba smirked. “And yet, you like it. Don’t deny it.”
Galinda’s face flushed, her indignation faltering. “That’s not the point,” she muttered.
“No,” Elphaba agreed, stepping closer. “The point is, no one suspects me. So let them chase their phantom boy with claws. Let them imagine whatever they like. The truth is ours.”
Or: Elphaba can't keep her hands to herself but she's not entirely to be blamed.
