Summary
Izuku leans forward and cups his hands around Todoroki’s face, fingers making warm and soft indents around his cheeks. His thumb brushes the jawbone, sliding along it. There’s something he wants to do, if only he could work up the courage for it. “Hold on,” he murmurs.
Todoroki looks a little confused, but leans in slightly to the touch. “What are you doing?”
“There’s something on your face.” Without warning, Izuku presses his lips to Todoroki’s. A hot warmth blossoms in his chest as he takes in the soft touch. Todoroki sucks in a breath, eyes wide. After a moment, Izuku withdraws and smiles at him. “It was me.”
. . .Izuku meets up with Todoroki for their first date. Pocky-shenanigans ensue.
Love has never tasted so sweet.

Summary
There are, Izuku thinks, a few immutable laws of the universe. Laws that are baked into the coding of the ways the world works. Fundamental building blocks that dictate just a few core principles that reality cannot operate without.
First; gravity is somewhat essential. (Although Izuku knows Uraraka will argue this one with him. He only lists it first when she is out of earshot.)
Second; there will always be smaller things that bigger things can eat to live. (Survival of the fittest, Kacchan would call it. The circle of life, Shouto would say instead.)
Third; Midoriya Izuku will find a way to break himself with anything good that is given to him.
Izuku gets stuck. But it's more complicated than that.

The smaller knife goes through Izuku’s ankle from the front, scraping his bones as it forces its way between them and emerges out the other side with a spray of blood. His ragged cry tears through the stairway.
A red haze of pain covers his vision, and he brings down the axe on instinct now. A wounded animal striking out, aiming blindly for what hurt him—for the arm still holding the knife.
Blood splatters up onto his face. Wet and warm.
New teacher Izuku, grading papers alone in the school during the still-dark hours of the morning, finds himself the target of a mysterious and violent coordinated attack.
