Summary
Named in a will of estranged grandparents that you never met, you bequeathed a generous inheritance and a property out in Alaska; in a small town called Coalition. With city life slowly whittling away at you, you decide to take time off of work, flying out to Alaska. Partly to prepare the property to be sold before winter and to enjoy the wilderness in the meantime. There you meet four mysterious ‘bachelors’ of the town who not only took interest in you, but you in them.
But you soon realize something wasn’t quite right about those men or the pack of wolves, with their strangely intelligent eyes, that frequented the woods surrounding your property. Curious, you're determined to get to the bottom of it. But as the saying famously went... curiosity killed the cat.

Being his neighbor you get to witness both the mundane aspects of his life and the hear the ridiculous stories he concocted to explain away the fresh wound he came back from his "work trips" with. Despite his seemingly mandated mysteriousness, he and you had fallen into a routine. But when this routine is interrupted by a bear that certainly should not exist in a country that hasn't seen bears in over 1,000 years, the bounds of you mutual affections will be tested by the revelations to come.

A pause. Then:
“Would you be mad at me if I… liked you?”
Your hands still completely.
There it is. Laid bare like an open wound. Vulnerable and bleeding and so, so tender.
You finally look at him. He’s not grinning now. No jokes, no masks. Just Kyle — eyes flicking between yours, waiting for the blow, the rejection, the shift that might change everything.
And God, he’s stupid. Stupid and beautiful and kind, and someone you care for so deeply it makes your bones ache, if only he knew it.
Your voice is quiet. Barely above a whisper.

Summary
After graduating high school, while your friends chose to go off to different cities and to various universities, you find yourself buried beneath the suffocating weight of your repressive hometown. Isolated and in misery; your loneliness bleeds like an open wound. As you hold on by a thin thread, there's little you can do except try and survive the monotony. Day after day, you work your depressing 9-to-5 at a corner convenience store, selling lottery tickets and packs of cigarettes. Until one afternoon, when you stumble upon an abandoned gaming counsel that shapes your boring life into a well-oiled machine of chaos and violence.
Once transported into Call of Duty, you're stuck puppeteering as an amnesiac prisoner captured by the Konni group, while working alongside the 141 Task Force to take down Makarov. Yet, as your feelings for the four soldiers who rescued you complicates, you realize that the decision to return to your old reality isn't as clear cut as you once believed.
The one thing you know for sure, though, is that you've never needed physical wounds to experience pain. But, goddamn, do bullets fucking hurt.

Summary
You watch TF141 day in and day out. They bicker and talk like every close task force does and you can't help but be a viewer to their chaos and strength. It's a nice change of pace to you day; usually spent wrist deep in weapons with hands covered in grease. Your days as an armorer aren't easy but they blend together all the same. Except suddenly all of TF141 barge into your space like a damn bull in a China shop.

He is, without exaggeration or hyperbole, the most handsome man you have ever seen. And you mean man in the truest sense of the word, like something out of a Clint Eastwood film or 80s softcore porn or your own primordial, cavewoman fantasies. He clears six feet, easy. Dark hair and even darker eyes, thick with muscle and a light sheen of sunburn. He has no shirt on. God. Aren’t there public indecency laws to prevent this sort of thing?
Of course he doesn’t have a shirt on, your intellect screams at your libido. You’re at the fucking beach.
This does not bode well for you.
It’s not until you drag your eyes away from the thickness of his beard—the slightest bit of silver is coming in at his chin—that you notice a child clinging to his legs, a little girl wearing a bright yellow swimsuit and carrying a plastic shovel.
