Summary
The Rogues are back; Tony Stark couldn't even be mad about it - it was his idea after all. He's an Avenger and that means protecting the Earth at any cost - even if he has to deal with a certain star-spangled man and his sullen sidekick. After all, he's been through worse in his life; the loss of his wife and the disappearance of his son 12 years ago. Compared to that, this would be a walk in the park.
Bucky Barnes is back on US soil as a free man. But freedom is more than just physical. On top of that, Steve is desperate for him to be the man he was before. The only problem is; that man is long dead.
Peter Parker has been through the mill but he knows he just had to adapt, roll with the (many) punches and keep going. Spider-man is his safe place now, the one time he could truly feel like himself. Like he is making a difference. He'd make sure no one would suffer like he has, even if he has to track down the perpetrator himself.

Andrew narrowed his eyes at Neil, the full weight of his attention on him again. “Explain,” he said, simply.
Neil opened his mouth, but found the words wouldn’t come, and closed it again.
“The truth, preferably,” Andrew said. His voice was bored but the sharp edge in his eyes betrayed him. Neil had one chance at this, or Andrew was going to walk away from this forever.
Swallowing, Neil said, quietly, “I wasn’t born a guy.” The simple truth flayed him open, and the words burned as they tumbled out of his mouth.

Summary
Neil Josten was not soft. The foxes and other people often mistook his cluelessness about romance and social cues for naivety or innocence, as if those things were given indicators of maturity. They seemed to conveniently forget his mob past, his runaway past, his potentially murderous past. Except when every so often that side shines through, and everyone gets a reminder of what Neil Josten is really capable of. And don’t you forget it.
Also: Neil Josten is small and blushy for Andrew but a tough knife boy for everyone else
