"There's a certain thing about being in space for so long, you don't have a lot of, ironically enough, space to feel your emotions. Especially with having an alien roommate who's listening to your every action, and bodily function, don't think about that one too hard. Back on Earth, I'd be able to step away from the situation, take a break before going back to it. But on the Hail Mary, I have about three total spaces I can go to. I don't include the cockpit in that number, not the best place to calm down in.
Leaving me to a total of three options: be in the lab, usually where I am frustrated at; go to my bed, Rocky will ask if I'm going to bed, which no I'm not, I'm trying to calm down before I explode outwards; or the don't go crazy room, which can be helpful if I can actually think things through, it's my best option typically. In all, I don't have much to just sit with my feelings, or scream into a pillow."

"Eye movement detected," is the first thing I hear as I slowly blink my eyes open, a gross and wet bag surrounding me is the first thing I physically notice. Where am I? "What is two plus two?" The same voice from a moment before. I attempt open my mouth, trying to reply, before noticing the tube in my mouth. Causing me to cough.

Not just from my hand but the appendage too. I carefully drag my hand along it, following to where it leads before finding it ending just above my ass. It's definitely a tail. Okay, so I have a tail. Why? How? More importantly, is that all I have? I shake my head, deciding I can figure that part out after I find something to cover up with. I feel incredibly cold. It feels so wrong.

Summary
Rex looks at himself in the mirror of the guest room he was allowed to use, making sure he looks presentable. He notices how his facial hair, which had been drawn on, is smudging and definitely needs to be touched up. He can't touch it up easily without getting makeup first, which he doesn't have money to pay for it himself.

After Rex 'back to the future'd, in his own terms, he expected nothing to exist. He wouldn't be anything.
Instead he had opened his eyes to a desert, one that's extremely familar, the fallen buildings around him familiar as well, the one of what was home to him for a few years. Instead of the nothing he expected, he's back in his 'home' timeline. His best assumption of why he's here is that this is hell, his punishment for who he became.
