It would’ve gone as predictably as all of their previous state games: Grant’s father hollering football terms over the cheer of other parents, Mr. Oak trying and failing to control his kids, Nick and his dad sharing a blunt under the stands, and Terry Jr.’s weird ass step-dad handing out business cards to the opposing team for some reason. The day would’ve been punctured by a pizza lunch where the entire team would either celebrate a surprising win for the Doodlers or an “opportunity to do better next time.”
The Odyssey hits a rock, the mini-van sails off a cliff, and five children wake up alone.

Summary
Grant is in love with Marco.
