He washed lower, soaping up the small of her back. Furina still mewled in delight at his tender touches. It was as though rubbing her made it easier for her to be honest.
“I think working through your loneliness with a loved one is rather romantic.”
A loved one. Furina’s ears turned red at the tips. It wasn’t very long ago that she believed such a privilege was foreign to the one playing the role of Hydro Archon. Now, that privilege was holding her in his arms, washing her fatigue away.
“A burden shared is a burden halved,” he continued. “I’d rather you talk to me instead of bottling everything up. Too much cream in the puff, and what happens?”
“The cream puff gets more delicious?”
“Furina,” he chided her with a laugh. “I’m serious!”
