George thought for a second, then grinned devilishly. “Go flirt with a stranger on the dance floor. and come back with their number”
The table roared.
Max raised a brow. “Fine.”
Charles went feral. “Non. Absolutely not.”
“Jesus Christ,” Lewis spluttered. “Calm down, Charles.”
Max quickly presses a quick hand, grounding Charles. “Truth.”
“What’s the filthiest fantasy you’ve ever had?”
Max didn’t even blink. “Bending Charles over a piano.”
The entire table shrieked.
Charles squirmed in his lap, blushing so deep it looked painted. He smacked Max’s chest weakly. “Rude.”
Max grinned wicked, teeth sharp. “We can make it not a fantasy anymore, baby. Just say the word.”

The first time Trent’s ever attracted to someone is in 1984. Most of the other boys in his year are already talking about fancying various girls in the neighborhood and how good looking Samantha Fox and other Page 3 girls are. Trent doesn’t share their interest, yet another way he doesn’t fit in with the other boys. One weekend Trent’s parents travel north to Manchester so his father can speak at a medical conference and for the first time Trent’s allowed to stay home by himself. His parents let him pick a couple of movies to rent from their local video shop and leave him with enough leftovers to last at least a week. On Friday night Trent presses play on an American film from the 70s called Smokey and the Bandit and suddenly all the ways the boys at school talk about feeling for pretty girls makes sense. Only it’s not Sally Field making Trent’s heart flutter but Burt Reynolds, his mustache, and his cowboy hat.
Or a history of Trent Crimm's love of mustachioed cowboys and how it leads to the best relationship of his life.

Fic is now complete. I'll be honest, the first three chapters are not my finest work and I may go back and fix them, but I'm pretty happy with the rest of the fic.
Premise:
Trent runs into Ted on the streets of Liverpool after the Greyhounds defeated Everton F.C. This is not the Ted Lasso he's seen in the press room.These two men do not have their lives together and trying to do whatever this is, is a supremely bad idea. But they are going to do it anyways.
Snippet:
Ted shudders at the contact and steps back, his hand running through his hair. He’s breathing hard after his outburst, his body screaming at him to do something. Fight, fuck, run, anything to get out of his head. He shouldn’t be around people right now, but the urge to feel something other than helplessness has a grip on him.“Get out of here” he rasps out. “I’m either going to hit you or kiss you if you stick around. Neither of those are headlines I need to see.”
Trent stays frozen against the wall as his brain reboots.
