Yuugi rubbed a finger over his nose. “Honestly, I don’t know why you’d bring me here. You don’t think I’m sophisticated enough for this, do you?”
Seto, who had witnessed the horrific sight of Yuugi and Jounouchi arguing over how long a fry could be on the floor before it was too gross to eat, snorted. “You said the other place was too tall. I thought this might make you feel—” He paused mid-word and then finished slowly, “less inadequate.”
“The private airplane and the gold-plated everything aren’t making me feel less inadequate, no,” Yuugi said, but a little apologetically.
Or: Almost a year after the Pharaoh has left, Yuugi comes to America for work. Seto is sure that he just wants to meet the King of Games to win against him. Yuugi wants to know what he wants to win at.

The mornings were unusually hotter as Summer came along, and if there was anything as annoying as the clothes sticking to Charles’ skin during his camp activities - it was a hard-on , hands down.
He didn’t know how long he was standing in the sun for, watching mutuals pass by in their swimwear and smiles, drinking lemonade and watermelon alike. He wasn’t turned on by them, per se, but there was one particular camp attendee he hated the most -
Erik Magnus Lehnsherr.
He was top of his academic classes, joined robotics for fun, and was currently on a free ride through Bard University. But people like Erik weren’t excited when it came to college, it just occupied his time....
It didn’t help that Erik was attractive; amazing facial bone structure, pretty eyes, good body, and a seductive, charming voice. He was a tease.

Fourteen cities half as many days, and the shooting pain behind Charles’s eye is constant now. After a few initial successes in recruiting more mutants for their team, he and Erik are now getting the proverbial door slammed in their faces, over and over.
Charles does not enjoy travel. Too many new minds every day, too many emotions pressing in around him, smothering his own thoughts, and he feels like the little Dutch boy with his finger in the dyke. If he abandons his post, the flood of psychic energy would come bursting through his skull, and he would drown. Or go mad.
Or both.

The montage of Charles & Erik recruiting mutants bringing 'couple searching for a third in their marriage' energy and honestly their whole dynamic in that movie lives eternally rent free in my head. In my mind this happens directly after Hugh jackman's amazing Cameo in first class.
