He grabs Adam’s hand to study how bad the sting is—maybe Adam’s been distant lately, but Kai’s worried regardless—and the taller boy suddenly goes still. His brown eyes snap to Kai’s blue ones, and that’s when Kai knows it. Something has definitely gone wrong.
Because Adam’s pupils dilate, and his expression softens, and his fingers intertwine with Kai’s.

It’s a bad idea for someone like Izuku who never quite got over his childhood feelings for Kacchan, it could be a long drawn out bullying tactic, or it could be sincere and it could break Izuku’s heart anyway — but he can’t walk away from a chance like this.
