In the middle of the destruction stands a man with pitch black wings big enough to stretch all the way across the wide hallway. And he’s looking straight at Tommy.
Tommy’s breath hitches in his throat and his knees almost buckle under the weight of his terror. He takes a shaky step backwards, suddenly hoping that Punz would still be after him, but he’s managed to lose the man in the maze of hallways, and now the hybrid looks at him and says something but Tommy can’t hear him over these goddamn sirens and oh god, he just wanted to find Dream–
Or: Tommy, an avian, doesn't know of life outside the laboratory. It's the only home he's ever had. So when Phil breaks in and takes four abused hybrid kids to a safehouse, he's surprised to see that one of them isn't at all happy to be saved.
(Or: lab-themed sbi hurt/comfort. I'm a sucker for angst with a happy ending.)

There’s another tense silence, and if Tommy could see under the villain’s mask, he’d think that maybe Apollo was smiling. His eyes squint the tiniest bit, and something sparkles in them. “Speaking out against the heroes is generally frowned upon.”
“So is vigilantism,” Tommy deadpans. “Hasn’t stopped me yet.”
At this, Apollo actually laughs. It’s a loud, musical sound that makes Tommy wince as it echoes through the quiet alleyway. “You’re clever, kid. I like you.”

Summary
To not go into too much detail, I am a very sad little potato and needed a rework of a few things. This is my experiment. No romance, really. PG-13 like the Marvel Movies to be safe.
---"Spider-man's name is-" bzzt. Silence, static, and that deafening ring. "Spider-Spider-" Out with it already! His eyes narrowed as he watched the screen, his hands becoming cold and clammy within their gloves. "Spider-man's name is Peter Parker."
There it is. Those words that changed his life forever. Not only did everyone now think Spider-man was a murderer, they thought he was a murderer. At 16 years old, Peter Parker was on trial for murder with tech that wasn't even his, and better yet - Tony wouldn't answer the phone. He had messed up, and he was alone.
