In which, comedy and tragedy are rolled into a one-shot featuring: the bitterly cold Hanukkah of 1944, the Howling Commandos & the Gayest Coverup in Modern History™, a Californian pickpocket, and Steve's dread which only grows as the war progresses and the passage of time steadily brings him closer to losing the man he loves.

The hard truth is Steve fears the end of the war, and who’s caskets they’ll be bringing back home with them because he’s not naive enough to really believe they’ll all survive this.

Bucky Barnes hasn't heard from Steve Rogers in 3 years.He'd rather never hear from him again. Too bad he's transferring to Stark Performing Arts University where he'll be forced to take the male-only lead roles with Steve in the school's queer rendition of the play "Romeo & Juliet". The close proximity triggers sparks to fly and the pair begin to rethink and investigate why they hate each other so much. Maybe they'll fall in love again along the way.

Summary
“This is a great apology,” Steve says, sarcasm thick.
“I already said I was sorry,” the man responds impatiently. He clearly regrets coming to make amends, and Steve’s own frustration is growing again. What is it about this man that just pushes every button Steve has?
“Forgive me if I don’t feel the sincerity, ” Steve says. The man glares.
“Take it or leave it.” He turns to leave again. Steve remembers his other dilemma.
“How about instead of an apology, you extend my stay,” Steve says. The man stops walking.
“What?” Bucky looks at him like that’s the last thing he expected him to say. Steve nods and then smirks.
“For free. Two weeks.” They hold each other’s stare, Bucky’s eyes unforgiving. Steve has to school his face to hide his desperation, but he’s running out of money, and he can’t go back to New York.
He hates how badly he wants to know what this guy’s deal is. They stare at each other for a whole minute. The air is crisp and tense.
“One,” Bucky says and then gets in his car and leaves.
OR
Steve runs away to Nantucket where he meets a very angry, very closed off baker who doesn't know how badly he wants to be loved until Steve shows him.

Summary
“Hello?” Steve asks, hiding his gun behind him as he steps out into the snow and down the few stairs to the ground level. It is already snowing hard, but it will continue well into the next few days, building up several feet. It’s already five or six inches high, and a light layer of it is dusting the person crumpled up in his alley.
“Excuse me, but this is private property,” Steve says to them, feeling adrenaline start to pump through him at the lack of response. He scents the air and only finds that indescribable smell of cold.
“Sir, the individual appears to be unconscious,” JARVIS informs him.

Commander Rogers is getting ready to hunker down for what is expected to be the worst blizzard that New York has ever seen when JARVIS alerts him of an intruder on his doorstep.
He figures he’s going to find someone looking for trouble, but instead finds an omega in trouble, and they’re running from more than just the cold.

Summary
The prompt was Steve and Valkyrie punch some Nazis. Obviously this involves Valkyrie on a mission with the Howling Commandos.
Excerpt:
“Who are you, speak quickly,” the man says.She lazily glances up from the work of her nails. The man in front is wearing some kind of blue combat uniform. He is pretty, Valkyrie thinks, skipping her eyes over his figure. His golden hair is shorn short and his pale face is shaved. The trim hair and bare face with full lips and big blue eyes give a delicacy to his broad warrior’s figure that Valkyrie would not mind playing with.
He seems to be carrying a very large serving dish, gaudily painted with a star and bright red concentric circles. Strange custom, but maybe on Midgard the leader of a troop carries the ceremonial food dish for post-battle feasting.
