Vaggie and Charlie plan a party, and Lucifer meddles like he always does.
An idea prodded at the edge of his mind, and he only barely kept himself from smiling. “We can invite him, yes. Heaven might require him to be accompanied by a supervisor to make sure he does ‘sin too much’ or whatever, but if that happens, I’ll just deny the visitation requests until they pick someone interesting.”
“Won’t you get in trouble?” Vaggie asked uncertainly. “Denying visitation for no reason doesn’t seem…”
Lucifer smirked at her. “Every so often, Heaven’s shitty opinions of me come in handy,” he said. “They expect it, so it’s not like they’re gonna be unprepared.”
Vaggie looked doubtful, but the tension in her shoulders eased anyway. “If you say so.”
