Summary
Takami Keigo is a hero no more. With his wings burnt off in a rescue, the hero Hawks no longer exists. Keigo starts over in a new city, floating mindlessly through life with no other skills aside from the ones needed in a hero, only to find loud neighbours who drag him into everything from the gaming store to meet disgruntled employees, to the tattoo parlour with a suspicious reptile...and a cute boy selling flowers just down the street from his apartment.
It will take a while, but the road to recovery has never been an easy one.

Summary
15 months had passed since the fight between the heroes and the MLA and Hawks had all but vanished from the public eye. Deciding it was high time to check in on the traitorous bird, Dabi breaks into Hawks’ apartment. But what he finds there, forever changes him.
...
A crib. There was a crib in the bedroom. And inside it was a baby. A baby with white hair and wings and—
Before Dabi could even blink he was pinned by a flurry of red feathers and Hawks was snarling in his face.
Looks like his wings did grow back after all. That one question being answered had only led to a million more surging through his mind as he stared at that crib, at the baby sleeping soundly inside of it.
Hawks pressed a knee into his abdomen, digging it in, but Dabi was too shocked to care.
“Is that… did I—“ he gaped between Hawks and the crib as the realization came crashing down on him.
He’d knocked Hawks up. Holy shit. Well, there went his plans of settling unfinished business. Fuck. He was really screwed, wasn’t he?

Summary
“Hawks,” Dabi chokes out, his spine arching with the bolt of electric pleasure that shoots through him. The hero frowns.
“Keigo,” he corrects. “Please, just Keigo.”
Dabi blinks, that same fluttery pain hitting him that had earlier when he realized Hawks might not be bullshitting him. That the hero might give an actual damn, after all.
Remember, none of this matters in the long run, he reminds himself. Hawks or Keigo, he’s still got a job to do.

Dabi knows Hawks is a spy, and he makes him pay for it as often as he can.
Makes him pay, until he sees Hawks break, and realizes that he can't be the kind of villain it would take to destroy the hero.
So he leaves.
Unfortunately, Hawks pursues.

Summary
Dabi was certain he was destined for villainy and this incident just proved it further for him. Saving one little girl on accident had sent him straight back into the body of his teenage years. Using his fire hurt again, other villains didn't take him seriously anymore and for some reason, the Winged Hero was insisting on taking care of Todoroki Touya, the boy whose appearance he now shared again.
In between trying to get Hawks to back off, he also had to avoid his family and stop people from drawing the conclusion of Touya and Dabi being one and the same person until he could return his body to normal.
How was being a normal person so much more exhausting than causing chaos and destruction?
Dabi gets hit by Eri's Quirk and has to resume living Touya's life. It doesn't go so well.

Keigo Takami was born with the hottest fire quirk on record and given special hero training because of it. Upon investigating the League of Villains, he encounters Kouka (Dabi), a scarred villain who attacks with telekinetically-controlled projectiles too fast to be seen and too sharp to survive.
And then Keigo finds out that those projectiles are feathers and it gets so much weirder.
After all, Keigo could not possibly have predicted that the villains would value him more as a space heater than as intel, that Skeptic's prudishness would be at least a little useful, or that his acquaintance-with-benefits was supposed to be dead.

“I know they're only letting me reconnect with her to keep me nice and obedient,” Touya continued, and Hawks’ heart jumped to his throat. “But I'm gonna get her out of her prison too, one day.” Touya’s eyes fell to the loopy, elegant penmanship in blue ink, and his mouth twisted into a grimace. “They cannot keep me here forever. They can't. There's a life out there, Hawks, and it isn't theirs to own.”
Hawks let out a stressed chirp before he could help it, slapping a palm on his mouth a moment later. In a place like this, walls had ears, and they both knew it. At least, Hawks did. Touya liked to test his luck a lot more. To him, the HPSC training grounds were only the second scariest place in the world. He’d been around for less time than Hawks, too, so Hawks didn’t fault him for it. Touya could still remember a life before it.
But Hawks couldn’t find it in himself to try and steer Touya away from his pipe dreams. Not when he could see the glossiness of Touya's eyes even without the aid of his sharpened eyesight.
It was despair, he thought.Or: Touya is a trainee in the same Hero Program as Hawks. That is, until one day he's sent on a mission and doesn't come back.

Dabi’s blood ran cold as he finally recognized the source of the discordance hanging over the confrontation. That Hawks didn’t look like a hero about to die for one of his stupid causes. No, he looked like a soldier. Proud. Condemned. Sightless. The flames in his hands sputtered and died at the confusion of it.
He knew the skeleton of Hawks’ history, knew enough to know the name he’d given up, a name ripped from his bones. He did not know enough to understand the picture before him.
When Hawks is declared dead, he and Dabi start to work together, for real this time.

Summary
News of the heroes storming Jakku General Hospital reaches him quickly enough; if not from the pro heroes left at UA, then from his own feathers as he perches on the edge of a rooftop. He’s nowhere near the mountaintop in Kyoto but he can feel when the air shifts in response--vibrating with all the energy of an electrical storm as everything in the past year comes to a head.
He’d given the pro heroes the time and date of the attack, nothing else. The plan they came up with was all their own: hit the enemy right where it would hurt the most. Hit them on two fronts, at the source of their power and at their main base, and buy enough time for Hawks to swoop in and finish the rest.
Of course, it’s not that simple. Things never are for a pro hero.
Hawks knew from the beginning that he would have to betray the League. He just never thought it would happen like this.
On the day of the Jakku Hospital raid, the League of Villains collapses into ruin - what follows after, for both hero and villain, is a mighty long fall.

Summary
Hawks promised he wouldn't, but he did it again.
Tears. They usher in, and he's helpless to stop them from rolling down his cheeks.
He doesn't know what he was expecting. Too realistic to believe his eyelids would slide open, but also desperate to keep his mouth shut. Hawks' tears fall before his words can. If Dabi were awake, he'd probably poke fun at his puffy eyes. It was hard to imagine him not saying something irritating. Maybe that's why the silence was too much for Hawks to bear.
"Our story has just begun." Hawks insists, shaking him in the silent hopes for an answer.
A cursed sob wracks him. Hawks takes in a slow lungful, bitterly ignoring the tears swelling in the corners of his eyes that fall to Dabi's shirt. Another tear stain to add to the countless ones already there.
His hand comes to brush at his bangs, slick with sweat, out of his face, a loving gesture lost to his unconsciousness.
Hawks breathes, this time managing something steadier.
"Let me start from the beginning."
