    Summary

For the few days he was forced to stay (in order to make sure he was truly okay post overblot), Jamil spent most of that time feeling empty. Feeling lonely. Feeling like he was waiting for someone. Constantly waiting. Constantly anticipating for the door to his room to burst open and for someone to come barreling in and presenting him with those tears and speeches of relief and how happy they are that he’s alive.

    But he never got that.

(Or an AU where Kalim dies during Jamil's overblot and, thanks to Kalim's magic, everyone is forced to forget about him including Jamil. Though he knows that someone is missing)

"Objectively speaking, Sanji’s wedding day is not the worst thing to ever happen to him – there are far too many contenders for that title, but the day of his mother’s death is probably the one topping the chart – but it is on the list somewhere. And not at the bottom, at that."

    Or:

Sanji thinks he's marrying the Demon of the East, the Pirate Hunter, a member of the Worst Generation and a cruel pirate, all for his bastard of a father's benefit.
Meanwhile, Zoro is marrying the hot guy he saw once as a picture in Red-Foot Zeff's restaurant. Also, they offered him booze.

    Summary

The whole world was nothing but darkness and pain but, somehow, he knew of these things from beyond it.

“Mydeimos,” the thin one said again.

    Mydeimos. That high, firm voice.

    Mydei. That low, soft voice.

These five knew something. Knew him or those voices.

So he gave them those two words burrowed somewhere deeper than his mind or body. Aedes Elysiae.

When Mydei finally emerges from the Sea of Souls after nine harsh winters, the most precious thing in the world to him isn’t his name, his body or his life. But two words he can’t remember the origin of: Aedes Elysiae.

As the years pass in exile, he finds himself plagued by knowledge that comes from the same maybe-past or maybe-future that wasn’t quite Mydei’s and yet was.

It took four years for him to stumble across Aedes Elysiae, a boy that calls the place home, and why those words were engraved upon his soul.

    Summary

“Glad to see you back among the living,” Phainon says through a yawn, clearly having spent the night in the uncomfortable chair in the infirmary by Mydei’s side. Like he often does.

Mydei’s head hurts. Just the regular kind of pain, easily managed by ignoring it until it goes away. But what makes it worse, is the confusion at his predicament. The memories returning to him in death used to vary in time and people who appeared in them. Why is it always Phainon nowadays?

“Fuck you,” Mydei says, hoarsely. He feels like he is losing his mind.

Phainon’s mouth locks mid-yawn and he blinks down at him stupidly, tilting his head with confusion. It’s probably fair, he hasn’t even done anything to earn Mydei’s ire as of late.

or; Human brain lives for a few more minutes after dying, replaying the most cherished memories. Mydei starts seeing Phainon after each of his deaths.

    Summary

“I…I never would have guessed that of all the competitions we’ve had over the years, an ‘endure the hot baths’ competition would be our l-last.”

It is supposed to be a joke, light and glib, but Phainon’s voice cracks on the final word. Last. He hastily flashes his easy smile to try and cover it up, but that action spurs tears to uncontrollably well in his eyes.

Breaking eye contact, Phainon looks away. A shuddering breath escapes him, before he all but whispers, “Hah…you must think me frail hearted.”

Mydei does not respond immediately. Instead, Phainon feels a gentle touch on the edge of his jaw. It tenderly guides his gaze back to Mydei’s own.

Then, with steely conviction, Mydei speaks.

    “Never.”

    ....

“But…what do you mean by ‘our last’?”

Phainon is filled with grief at Mydei's departure from Okhema.
Mydei fills Phainon's heart with hope.

    An alternative ending to 3.1
