“Come!” Kirishima yells, and it echoes over the battlefield. Izuku can almost imagine the expression on Kacchan’s face: a victorious snarl, the look he gets after a good fight. Flush high on his cheeks, eyes as close to sparkling as they ever get with Kacchan. Izuku cracks his eye open, trying to catch a glimpse of it, but he only sees the top of Kacchan’s head as Shigaraki reaches for him, and then—the greatest explosion Izuku’s ever seen.
And Kacchan in the middle of it all, flying through the air, his shirt whipping loosely around him, and there’s a sharp clap next to Izuku’s head as his hand meets Kirishima’s. Exactly how it played out in Izuku’s head. He smiles to himself, hiding it in the fabric of Kirishima’s shirt.
“You stupid or something?” Kacchan barks, but Izuku hears the smile in his voice.

Summary
Faint crackling electricity, like the fabric of a windbreaker rubbing against itself, covering the sound of shifting rubble and settling dust. It’s a sound Katsuki’s heard a thousand times before, usually preceded with a shout from Deku saying One For All-
“Full Cowling,” Katsuki whispers, staring and grasping for words. “What the fuck.”
Deku is standing near Katsuki’s feet, back bowed forward like Atlas and body lit up with a green so bright it’s incandescent. Blackwhip escapes from his arms in countless tendrils, lightning arcs off his body every second, and there’s a faint tremble running through his legs.
He’s terrifying. He’s beautiful.
He’s holding the fucking building on his shoulders.

Bakugou realized several things all at once.
One: Out of the five villains ambushing them, one was still standing.
Two: The electricity that Denki had caused was growing rather than dwindling.
Three: Besides the villain’s scream of pain, there was another terrible sound in the air- the sound of a bloody scream being torn from Denki’s throat as the electricity raced up his body and sent him far past the limit of what he could handle.

During a training exercise for class 1-A, the Bakusquad are set upon by villains. Things go just as they expect, and they’re forced to hide until the teachers can find them while looking out for one of their own.
