“He did,” Tifa says immediately, maybe even defensively, but she knows that isn’t quite true.
Because something that hasn’t been sorted out is the fact that she let Cloud’s soul wash through her, and front to back, most of it was about her.
Yuffie, Tifa decides, does not need to know this.
