He’s wondering if it’s still just wishful thinking making him imagine it all when Caitlyn makes her way into the kitchen later, still groggy from sleep. She shuffles over to him and drops her head on his shoulder as he hands her a cup of coffee with one hand, the other sliding over her waist as he kisses her on the top of her head and says, “Good morning, cupcake.”
