Izuku could pinpoint the exact moment he knew he was going to do it. It was 4:57 pm on a Tuesday. He knew that because they were sitting in class, and the sun was hitting Todoroki’s hair in that way it does at 4:57 pm, and the little pieces of dust that danced lazily in the air made it look like the sun was shining just for him.
Well, really, it was 5:01 pm when he resolved himself to do it.

It’s been a while since Kirishima has had a hug.
Not that he doesn’t like hugs, or whatever - in fact, he’s pretty fond of them - but it’s just been a while; and sure, it’s not something that keeps him up at night, but he is up at night, and now he’s thinking about it. A glance at his clock before he left his room told him that it was, unsurprisingly, the early hours of the morning.
It’s now when he realises that when he’s awake with no-one to talk to, he has a lot of time to just think. And it’s not that Kirishima’s salty that nobody’s hugged him in ages - but, actually, he’s pretty salty. And it wasn’t even a thing that had a simple fix. There was still the question of who to even ask.
He wonders if he could successfully get a hug from Bakugo without being blasted an indefinite distance.

Summary
Izuku Midoriya doesn't know why he did it, he had no good reason for it, but he did it and now he has to deal with the outcome. He has to live with the fallout of cheating on the love of his life with his friend. The only problem there is that there is a Shoto Todoroki shaped hole in his life and in their home but now the other man won't take his calls and he has ruined everything just for one drunken night to be with Katsuki Bakugo.
But for Shoto Todoroki everything is so much harder. He can't go home, not after knowing what happened there with the man he'd loved for years and the best friend that he had trusted with everything. So Shoto leaves, and he has to try and readjust to life without having the two most important men close to him.
