There was something... odd about Izuku Yamazawa.
He was extremely friendly, but also quiet and monotone.
His smiles were small but extremely warm... except when his glare was harsh and his smirk was cold.
He seemed close with the teachers, but no one ever saw him talk to them in a personal way.

“A combat medic.” Eraser’s steps faltered.
Izuku knew what he’s just done; telling Eraser he wanted to be a combat medic essentially told the man he had a healing quirk, mostly because only people with healing quirks could be combat medics. other people who were on scene in a villan fight were just put into the first-responders label. Saying you have a healing quirk in present day society was basically putting a large target on your back that says, ‘I’m worth killing for’. There were only two other people in Japan that healing quirks, and they were always sought after. One was Recovery Girl who stayed in Musutafu and lower while the other was Repair Mate who worked in Kanagawa and above. The two pros decided between themselves that it would be easier to split the country in half to even out the workload. They were managing fine but the population of Japan knew that recovery girl would retire soon; and the country were in dire need of healers. People online were speculating that the government were looking into buying halers from other countries, they were that desperate.
Aizawa felt like a bucket of ice water had been pored over him.

Pretty alright
First year of UA hasn’t started yet, izu has a healers quirk which is stupid rare and when the HC knows of healing quirks they keep the healer under 24/7 controlled monitoring and so Inko lied and hid his quirk as quirklessness except she died from the sludge villain attack and izu ran into Eraser and helped him and he decided to reveal his healer quirk and he’s been a ward of UA and not the HC and studying under the staff and Chiyo. He’s online friends with Mei and Shinsou and denki but has met denki in person a good couple of times. Zulu’s quirk has been publicized and he’s very snarky and swears a bunch so he’s both lived and hated by many people -

Summary
When everyone found out that Izuku was quirkless, Katsuki was furious… at first. The two fell out, yeah, but it only lasted a few months.
When Katsuki saw some of those extras that followed him attacking Deku, HIS Deku, he snapped. His body moved on its own, and he found himself punching, screaming, and blasting them until they ran off. Izuku looked up with tears streaming down his face, shocked.
Katsuki placed a hand on his knee as he bent down to help Izuku up. “Don’t listen to a word they say, Deku. You’re still gonna be a hero. I’ll make sure of it.” Katsuki pulled the smaller boy up before lightly punching his arm. “Not as good as me, obviously. You can settle for number two.”
Izuku giggled wetly and hesitantly countered, “We’ll see, Kachan. If you’re helping me, then I’ll surpass even you someday!”
Katsuki scoffed and led the way back to his house. “Yeah, I’d like to see you try!”
Standard quirkless Deku fic, but he and Katsuki stayed friends, and are now at the cusp of their hero careers at UA- Language:
