This, though, was not one of those good nights. They wouldn’t end with Roy whispering how much he loved Jason, or with Jason tucked into Roy’s lap being lulled to sleep by a shitty movie.
Jason didn’t know how long they would be awake. If they were able to go back to bed at all. Hopefully he’d be able to tuck Roy in before the sun was too high in the sky. He would pretend to fall asleep, waiting for Roy’s breathing to even out, then wake up to make Lian breakfast (he would sneak her the sugary cereal Roy only let her have on the weekends) and take her to school.
