Summary
The ancient Greeks told tales of how Zeus, fearing the physically perfect humans, split them in two. According to the legend, to love is to find one’s other half of a perfect whole. But to be only one half is to be imperfect, and Plato argued that we cannot love what is not perfect. I agree with him. The Ra’haam took perfect whole souls and made them a part of itself. In doing so, it, like Zeus, made what was once perfect imperfect. Half-souls forever searching, forever lonely.
After all, a star is most dazzling in the dark. Love requires that the other be other.

The last airbender and master of all the elements, Aang restored harmony to the 4 nations with the help of his friends. He built the United Republic of Nations from former Fire nation colonies in the Earth kingdom, a place where anyone from anywhere and bender of any or no elements can coexist. This paved the way for the rest of the world to follow, and for as long as my great-great-great zhumu (grandma) can remember the world has lived in harmony.

Qiu Haitang raised her head, “Oh? That book?” She tilted her head and showed a disdainful expression, “It certainly looked like it was a top quality book, right? Good paper, good cover/ But the content is a complete gibberish to me, truly, don’t judge a book by its cover.”
"Gibberish?" Shen Jiu opened it and saw several characters he couldn't make sense of. This might be interesting.
At that time, Shen Jiu didn't know this book would be his lifeline in the future as he was faced with life's incongruity and absurdity.

These barriers are carefully guarded, and maintained by a Barrier Master. Only an idiot would try living outside of a barrier, and only a moron would be caught outside one at night.
Which Wei Wuxian supposed made him both. Still, it wasn't like anyone was going to notice him out here. He'd worked too hard for that, burying his talents and skills for the sake of peace in the Jiang Household. They probably though he was still living in their garage, not in a tent in the woods. And Wei Wuxian would keep it that way, remaining unnoticed until he graduated from the College of Cultivation and landed a job.
At least that was a plan until the Heir to the Barrier himself fell from the sky and crashed into his tent.
