Jack found it hard to think as his affiliation made his way deeper down the corridor and away from his scrutinizing gaze. The music was so loud the redhead couldn’t even hear himself think. Everything was too fucking loud. It was hard to concentrate. His heart began to ache as the blond was no longer in his line of sight, leaving him to bask in his loneliness once more.
He was always close, but never close enough; frustratingly unattainable.

It still fails him. He hasn’t stopped thinking about Till. They’re grown up enough that they should start interacting like normal. So Ivan tries to stick by his scripts, but he keeps catching glimpses of fear. Till flinches and twitches in curious ways. Ivan laughs too harshly and pokes and prods. He keeps wanting to dig into the soft spots. He wants it so bad. He’ll push it into his subconscious and turn the lights up, but sometimes he’s just too tired and all he can imagine is Till’s breath, Till’s tears, Till forever and always within his grasp.

Did he expect it to be *this* bad, though?
Definitely not.
And worst of all, his Shadows are caught in the crossfire. In the throes of imprisonment and torture by the 141, Graves has another choice to make; what does he value more, his own life, or the allegiance he's made to Shepherd?
