Summary
"The Pit". An infamous illegal fight ring deep underground in the old factory near the outskirts of the city.
No rules, no refs, no mercy. The fights there are brutal, often to the point of hospitalisation or death. Spectators bet huge money; winners get paid in cash, losers get nothing but scars or a body bag.
Jabber becomes fixated on Zanka the moment they have their first fight. He starts engineering "coincidental" matchups and run-ins. Their quarrels turn into something far more intimate and toxic than the viscious sport. Zanka tries to stay professional and just earn money, but Jabber drags out his darkest urges, reeling him into something he doesn't know how to get out of.

Summary
Zanka had not meant to steal from Jabber Wonger.
Not at first.
It was supposed to be just a fight. A dirty, brutal clash in the lower trash veins, all blood, poison, teeth, and bad angles.
Then Mankira got caught in the wall, Jabber stopped laughing, and Zanka saw the one line even a madman would not cross.
Jabber would break himself before he damaged her.
So when Assistaff scraped too hard, when one ring slipped loose from Jabber’s deadly hands, when Zanka felt that small warm circle fall into his palm—
He should have dropped it.
He should have returned it.
He should have told someone.
Instead, Zanka kept one piece of Mankira hidden against his body.
And Jabber notices hes missing a part of her.
Now Jabber has nine rings, one empty finger, and a growing obsession with finding out exactly where Zanka is keeping what he stole.
Zanka calls it evidence.
Jabber calls it theft.
Mankira calls it something worse.
And the lie only gets heavier the longer Zanka keeps her warm.

Anbu Hound is in need of an official civilian identity that's not clearly "black ops assassin" and in search of an excuse to be in Naruto's life. When he sees an opportunity for both at once, he’d be a fool not to take it, right?

“Grace. What are you testing, question?”
Rocky. I can’t put this all on the guy right now. He should be happy. We are going to Erid. We are going to save his planet.
“CBC. A complete blood count.” I answer, hoping he doesn’t ask me why.
“Purpose, question?”
Rocky, please. I’m trying to spare you right now.
Basically, Grace gets exposed to a dangerous amount of radiation during an EVA and doesn't want to tell Rocky bc of what happened to Rocky's crew <3
THIS IS A REWORKED VERSION OF "TEMPEST" - after some comments, I wanted to keep the soul of the story, but make it more scientifically plausible. While there are still probably some inaccuracies, I still hope this isn't as messy as before.

Summary
The God of Deceit was once a god who danced through truth like a flame through old parchment—destructive, beautiful, inevitable. But that was before the fae turned their backs. Before they bound him in this tree, with chains etched in runes that gnawed through flesh and soul alike.
Now he is stillness. Now he is silence. Now he is Shadow Milk—the god no one remembers, watching the world like a man at the bottom of a well watches the light too far above to reach.
And so he waits.
Through the thin membrane of reality, where the veil is weakest, he sees the world. He sees the golden fields stretching in humble simplicity, dotted with the flicker of sheep. He sees the hill, where wildflowers bloom with such audacity they seem to challenge the sky.
And there, in the middle of it all—white as a breath, still as a prayer—is the shepherd. Pure Vanilla.
...
Pure Vanilla thinks of his flock as he dies. He thinks of Dandelion. He thinks of warm bread and honey. Of sun on his face. Of the feeling of grass beneath his feet.
Death is not merciful, it is not quick.
The shepherd bleeds, and The God of Deceit does not intervene.
