“Wait,” Alex said as he realised Yassen was still carrying the sleepy bird in his arms and didn’t seem to have any immediate plans to stop. “Are you kidnapping a chicken?”
Yassen looked over at him and raised an eyebrow. “No, of course not.”
“You’re literally holding it. Right in front of me.”
“Yes? Because he is my chicken.”
“No he’s not!”
After overhearing a suspicious phone call from a stranger, Alex goes to investigate a rural farmhouse. He suspects a plot, a new scheme to take over the world. What he finds is a chicken. Oh, and Yassen Gregorovich is there too.
AKA the Yassen Gregorovich has retirement chickens fic. Cluck cluck.

Yassen knew it wouldn't end well for little Alex. The assassin's dull existence within the secret prison in Gibraltar is disrupted suddenly by the little spy's arrival. Babysitting a traumatized teenager with violent fits, mood swings, and who firmly believes that they're both dead wasn't exactly how Yassen imagined he'd spend his retirement. This stupid family.
