Summary
They had learnt the truth that evening. They had learnt that Victoria was one of the five Horsemen of the Apocalypse and that the rest of the Red Hand Gang were the other four. She had offered them the positions in turn, asking them to become the new Horsemen to bring about Hell on Earth.
Things had ended differently though. Garnet had once told Delacy that life was like a game of cards. Everyone was a player being dealt a hand and was trying to work out the best way of playing that hand to try and remain at the table of life for as long as possible.
It’s hard to say why it had ended differently. Maybe it was Silas suggesting they should perhaps accept the offer and then not carry out the Apocalypse before they had the chance to refuse. Maybe Victoria had seemed more threatening. Or maybe….
Regardless of the reason why, the cards had been dealt and they had accepted the offer.

In which Mehrak mistakes a throwaway comment from Kaveh as an order and does everything in its (regrettably limited) power to fulfill it. When it realizes that Kaveh’s happiness could lie with a certain roommate, it intends to throw everything it has into playing matchmaker.

Summary
