They put the candy next to the register so when people are checking out they feel more inclined to buy it. Because it’s a last minute decision, Steve thinks that’s what Keith said.
“I’m not. And I’ll prove it to you.” Eddie challenges.
Steve looks up at the metalhead under his fringe, disbelief in his gaze and annoyance set in his brow. “And how do you plan on doing that?”
“Come over to my place tomorrow night.”

Steve had spent the last three years fighting for his life against creatures beyond comprehension, infiltrating secret Soviet bases, and solving serial murders. Somehow, somehow, all of it had led to him sprawled tipsily across a sofa in Mike Wheeler’s basement at midnight on a Friday in July. Well shit. If that wasn’t just a little sad.

Context: Vecna has been defeated and the upside down is gone forever (because I say so). Steve, Eddie, Nancy, Robin, Dustin, Mike, Max, and Lucas are having a chill night in that turns slightly less chill for Steve when he realizes he may be into Eddie.

Basically it's a get together with a pause in the middle for Robin to help Steve work through his sexuality crisis. -

Just ugh, I loved it, its only 3 chapters but they are kinda long and it’s still a good read, I wanna give Eddie and Steve such big hugs, and Stan Robin for being such a good friend. My heart hurts now that I’ve finished it but only because of how happy I am for the characters but sad because of the pain they had to go through to get to where they are at the end. Anyway, loved it, would definitely read again and recommend it :)

"Is he really okay?" Regulus whispered finally. So softly it was barely there.
James wasn't surprised that he had asked. The other night was different Regulus was drunk and pissed off that's why he reacted the way that he did. But right now In the dark alone and away from prying eyes, he let himself be the slightest bit vulnerable. Just the slightest.
"Yes and no," James answered honestly.
Regulus nodded, seeming to take that answer and understand it. When James thought he might leave Regulus did something surprising and sat back down again. "I didn't mean what I said the other night. I do care."
James's eyes widened shocked regulus admitted he had feelings, shocked he cared. Shocked he admitted he cared. Regulus didn’t show emotions.
OR
After Sirius leaves Regulus is forced by his family to spy on the Potter family or else they will hurt Sirius. Regulus isn’t expecting to care about the Potters and he’s certainly not expecting to start hooking up with the bane of his existence James bloody Potter but what can you do?
