It was supposed to be a simple mining expedition: The quantum navigator picks a planet, drops your crew, and you assemble at your mobile base, then work together to survey the planet in hunt for some elusive and evolutionary material. Easy.
A little less easy when majority of your crew dies for mysterious reasons, and the people who are left standing is you (a botanist), and a scientist named Sans. How the hell are you supposed to operate this mission without anyone to fix the damn base if it breaks???

You walked into the forest, knowing once nighttime fell, monsters would come out of their burrows, and you'd be killed.
Somehow, you ended up becoming the pet of a skeleton-spider-centaur instead. Black seemed to believe you were just an animal, rather than a person. His brother on the other hand... You couldn't be sure, but he might be onto you.
(i've been asked to add a disclaimer that this is not a retelling of horrortale in a swapfell setting, so here you go. the monsters live underground, but with access to the surface at night, human eating won't be a big topic in the story)

"And then I punched her," Stretch replied, handing you a plate full of buttery pancakes.
"Yeah," you hummed, oblivious to the sudden silence around you. "In the face, too."
