Summary

The goddess of dust heard a story of a golden-winged adeptus child one day during the Archon war, and sets off to see if there is any truth to it.
A few decades later, the god of contracts sets eyes on a bloodhound scrabbling at the earth and, while looking at the spindly bones protruding from his back, thinks that the bloodhound seems fit for the sky, not the ground.
After the thrones of Celestia have found their owners, a group of divine beings find themselves branded as "The Yakshas" and find themselves faltering when it comes to the bird of their group, who appears to meet all attempts at friendship with the edge of a jade spear.
When the archon of snow and ice sends her youngest to the land of contracts, a creature touched by the abyss finds that the curiously wise man he fell for has an interesting history with a loner who lives on an inn's rooftop.
The author takes many liberties, as canon was looked at, loved, and thrown out the window during many points in time.

Aite let out a nervous laugh. “Of course, Lord Morax, I have coexisted peacefully alongside the Guili Assembly for centuries. I would not dare—”
“But you did,” Morax cut her off, voice soft but imbued with telluric power. Once again, the limestone beneath his feet shivered. “Their dreams were eaten. This is your work. Your mark is plainly on it.”
“Allow me to explain,” Aite said, voice sickly-sweet — just like the stench of overripe fruit that pervaded her hall. “I believe I know how this…mistake…was made.”
“Oh? Then explain.”
Xiao first meets Morax when he is still enslaved to his first master. He does not expect kindness, especially not when his goddess puts him forth as the culprit in the massacre of a human settlement on a contested border.
Morax, though, surprises him.
