Everyday for the last 3 years was the same, it very rarely strayed from the routine. Her therapist had stated a routine, “provides structure and consistency in daily life, which can lead to reduced stress, improved focus, better decision-making, increased feelings of control, and overall enhanced mental and physical well-being” and blah-blah-blah. Elphaba zoned out after a while because it was always the same thing, over and over and over again.
So here she was running as fast as she could down the same path she always took, in the same park she always ran in. Nothing new, nothing strayed from the routine, until…

“Well… since you are so sure I’m your ‘son’, answer this question for me… Mrs. Luthor-Danvers…”, Liam sip the words out with so much venom, it scared Kara.
“And that is?", Kara asked.
Liam looked between the two of them, as his eyes filled with unshed tears, “Why did you leave me alone?” A single tear rolled down his cheek.
They stood their in silents, as Liam waited for an answer to his question, neither Kara nor Lena could give an answer to.
After a couple of minutes, Liam moved to sit down, as he said the only thing on his mind…

"Why did you leave us? Why did you leave Alex, Nia, Kelly, J'onn... me?", Lena's voice got quieter as she spoke.
"Why did I leave?!!", Kara turns around so quick you could get whiplash just watching her.
"Lena, you can't blame someone for leaving, if you never gave them a reason to stay!!", Kara almost yells, she was tired of being blamed for everyone's pain.
"I love you!! That should be enough of a reason for you to stay!", Lena was in Kara's face now.
"While... it's a little too late to be saying 'I love you'...", Kara blinks back the tears and walks away, leaving Lena alone.

Summary
Water fell in an even, rhythmic pattern, echoing across cobblestones. A shallow puddle gathered in the low corner of a damp dungeon. Chill seeped from the cracks in the walls and floor.
Chains clinked gently across stone, and an occasional draw of haggard breath pushed through the silence. A woman was on her feet, barely, knees bent and head hanging, hands manacled above her head. She was gripping and releasing the chains in time to the drips, trying to keep blood flowing through her aching arms and shoulders. She inhaled and exhaled slowly, dry tongue occasionally darting out onto dry lips. Blonde hair hung down, framing her face, sticking to her neck.
Kara Zor-El, princess of Krypton, was a prisoner – and she was scheduled to become a martyr.

Summary
It’s been months since Lena found out about Kara lying through Lex and Kara had known something was wrong between them afterwards. Lena had made every excuse under the sun to avoid her since and Kara wasn’t dumb, she knew, she suspected the reason behind Lena’s recent behavior. Now, nearly half a year since their relationship became so strained Lena hadn’t seen Kara in half that time, Kara lands on Lena’s balcony after solar flaring and being shot out of the sky by a sniper ready for her. Blood smeared everywhere and Kara didn’t have the strength to move as Lena came rushing over to a dying Kara.
Will Lena ever forgive Kara when her life isn’t in any danger? If she’s on her death bed, is that the only time Lena will willingly see her, Kara wonders as she lays on the floor with a pale Lena trying to get her to safety behind her bulletproof windows. Maybe they could have been more if she had just told Lena her secret and her feelings, instead of this limbo they were in. Lena saving Kara’s life while Kara was trying so hard to stay dead, to linger in a state near death.
