Modern day cafe AU
Frank Iero is a barista who at one point really, truly enjoyed his job at the local cafe. But the powers that be (unchecked capitalism) have turned his workplace into something soulless and miserable, a thing he has to get through to pay his rent on time. The only thing worse than the new corporate bullshit is the newest regular: a weird, quiet guy who camps in the corner all day on his laptop and gets under Frank’s skin like no one else.

Gerard, the local librarian, has a not-so-secret admirer. Frank can't resist spending most of his time in the library, fawning over Gerard from afar. It seems useless to make a move, since Gerard is so clearly far too sweet and gentle to match Frank's much kinkier tastes... But Frank will soon learn to never judge a book by it's cover.

Dean’s favourite coffee shop, The Graveyard Shift, is only open after the sun goes down. Which is perfect for him, because that’s exactly when he craves coffee the most while doing the overnight at the fire hall. The coffee shop’s owner is pretty perfect too, but it’s kind of a bummer that Dean never gets to see Cas during the day. In a world where the supernatural live more or less in peace with the rest of humanity, it’s a little impolite to ask Cas just what he really is - or what his dark past entails.

Summary
There is little in Frank Iero's life that goes according to plan. But when one bad decision puts him in a legal cesspool and bottomless debt, he has no choice but to intern at Korse & Associate's Legal Firm, where he expects nothing but corporate misery. What he doesn't expect is the degree to which some will bend to maintain job security. And Korse's personal assistant, Gerard, is the archetypal ass-kisser. But there's no way in hell Frank could end up like them, caring for the outcome of a sensational murder trial, or for his coworkers, or for anything outside his sphere of influence. Right?
