“Spikey,” Wolfwood says, and it’s half admonishment. The other half lives in the space Vash occupies that glows crimson with want. Ever since they laid under that ravine waiting for rescue Vash’s mouth and fingers have wanted. Ever since they started traveling together, he has wanted.
He knows that wanting something means it can be taken away. He knows this, and guards against it, because it’s what has kept him alive for so long.
He realizes now he can’t live without the wanting.

Summary
Wolfwood’s eyes lingered at the exposed silver of Vash’s stomach. There must be something wrong with him, it wasn’t normal to feel and think like that from the mere sight of a little skin displayed so innocently. It made his palms sweaty and the tips of his fingers feel weirdly tingly. The heat under his skin certainly was just a byproduct of the hot shower.
He wanted to touch so badly. Feel Vash’s skin under his fingers when his touch didn’t connect to pain. But instead, maybe, it could even bring something else. He had stolen a few not so appropriate glances at Vash on the rare occasion he was sure enough to get away with it. Now Vash was looking at him, eyes dark with something Wolfwood didn’t dare to name yet. Hungry, almost like he wanted to devour him.
Vash had never looked at him like that before

What started out as a normal night suddenly finds Vash and Wolfwood tangling in the sheets. But of course with Vash, things can never be easy or straight forward. It ends up working out anyway.
