“Wei Ying,” Lan Wangji breathes “What... is the meaning of this?” he says his cheeks squished between Wei Wuxian hands, after the surprise kiss. Lan Wangji was preparing tomorrow's lesson when Wei Wuxian ran from the jingshi door and slammed their lips together. It makes the distinguishable sound of a kiss. It is their first kiss.

It starts, innocently enough, as a dream about Jill.
Not so innocently, it’s half of a memory from their first time in Dhalmekia together, where they had to enter a brothel and blend in to escape the pursuit of Kupka’s men. Jill was pressed up against him in a shadowed corner, half grinding on his lap to make it look like they were meant to be there, and it had taken all of Clive’s self-restraint and common sense not to reach between her legs before they had to move on.

Roy and his team are delegates in Xerxes, a place steeped in myth and rumour. The most prevalent of those rumours being that the King's twin sons are strictly off limits. Even to be caught alone with one of them is enough to guarantee probably having to marry them to preserve their purity and honour. So, naturally, Roy's never wanted to tap anyone more than he wants to tap Prince Edward.
